Create Send Classification

Create a send classification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

You can create a reusable send classification that contains saved from and reply to addresses, as well as a saved header and footer.

On this page:

Sender profile

A sender profile is a record stored in a central location that may be reused across multiple message sends. This record contains from and reply to addresses. The from email address should be a group email account, but the reply to address may be a personal email address.

Note:
Before creating a sender profile, be sure your group/business unit has a group email account.

To create a sender profile:

  1. Log into Marketing Cloud and select the correct business unit.
  2. Click the Admin tab.
  3. On the left-hand side under Send Management, select Sender Profiles. Click Create in the toolbar.
  4. Enter the name of the sender profile. Ensure the name is descriptive enough to choose from a drop-down menu.
  5. Enter a description (optional). Do not fill in the "External Key" field; Marketing Cloud will generate an external key when the sender profile is saved.
  6. Under Sender Information, select the Use the specified information: radio button. Enter the sender's from name and email address. This email address must be from the group email address.

  7. Under Custom Reply Mail Management Settings, check the box for Use custom settings below. Select Use specified information, enter a name for the reply, and enter the reply email address. This email address does not have to be a group email address.

  2. Under Send Management, choose Send Classifications. Select Create.
