IU Evite Template

ARCHIVED: Create an email message using the IU Evite shared template in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  1. Log into Marketing Cloud.
  2. On the Dashboard, find Email Studio, and then select Email.

  3. This will take you to the Email Overview page. From here, navigate to Content – Emails.
  4. The My Emails page will open. In that toolbar, select Create – Template Based.

  5. Click the Select button to retrieve the shared templates.

  6. Select the IU Evite template. Click OK.

  7. Complete "Email Name" and "Email Subject" fields.
  8. Select a location in the hierarchy to save the email message, and click Save.
  9. The evite will open for editing.

  11. For the event name, click the region and choose Modify Content from the options.

  12. This will open the text editor with preformatted placeholder text.
  13. To change the name and to maintain formatting, highlight text between the first and last characters and type your event name. In the example below, the text "New Event" was added. Delete the first and last characters.
    Highlighting all of the placeholder text and typing your event name will remove formatting.

  14. Click Save.
  15. To add other information such as date/time, subtitles, or RSVP, follow steps 11-14.

  17. If there is a region you do not want or need, click the section and choose Clear Content.

  18. The empty content region will display "No content" in the template, and will not display in the evite.
  19. In the social media bar, the default social media icons are for Facebook and Twitter.   20. After all is complete, thoroughly test the evite send. After testing, send your evite via Guided Send or Simple Send.
